App Settings
Configure core application settings to optimize functionality and performance.
Overview
The App Settings section allows you to customize your application branding, appearance, and core functionality settings.
Where to go: Settings → App
App Branding
App Name
Setting: App Name
Description: The name of your application as it appears in the admin panel and throughout the system.
Example: "Hair Salon Management", "Beauty Studio Pro"
Default: Uses organization name if not set
Display: Appears in:
- Browser tab title
- Admin panel header
- System notifications
- Email communications
Logo Configuration
Light Logo
Setting: Upload Logo (Light variant)
Description: Upload a logo for use on light backgrounds.
Supported Formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP
Best Practices:
- Use PNG format with transparency for best results
- Recommended size: 200x50 pixels or similar aspect ratio
- Ensure logo is readable on light backgrounds
Display: Used in:
- Admin panel (light theme)
- Email templates (light backgrounds)
- System interfaces
Dark Logo
Setting: Upload Logo (Dark variant)
Description: Upload a logo for use on dark backgrounds.
Supported Formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP
Best Practices:
- Use PNG format with transparency
- Recommended size: 200x50 pixels or similar aspect ratio
- Ensure logo is readable on dark backgrounds
- May be the same as light logo with inverted colors
Display: Used in:
- Admin panel (dark theme)
- Dark mode interfaces
Logo Management
- Upload: Select and upload new logo files
- Preview: See how your logo will appear
- Reset: Remove logo and revert to default
Favicon Configuration
Upload Favicon
Setting: Upload Favicon
Description: Upload a favicon (website icon) that appears in browser tabs.
Supported Formats: PNG, ICO, SVG
Best Practices:
- Use PNG format (32x32 or 16x16 pixels)
- Simple, recognizable design
- Works well at small sizes
- High contrast for visibility
Display: Appears in:
- Browser tabs
- Bookmarks
- Browser history
- Mobile home screen (if saved)
Favicon Management
- Upload: Select and upload new favicon
- Preview: See favicon preview
- Reset: Remove favicon and revert to default
Note: Favicon changes may take a few minutes to appear due to browser caching.
Lockscreen Settings
Enable Lockscreen
Setting: Enable lockscreen (checkbox)
Description: Enable automatic screen locking for security.
Default: Disabled
Use Case: Automatically lock the screen after a period of inactivity to protect sensitive information.
Auto Lock Duration
Setting: Auto Lock Duration (in seconds)
Description: Set how many seconds of inactivity before the screen locks.
Range: Any positive number (seconds)
Examples:
- 300 seconds = 5 minutes
- 600 seconds = 10 minutes
- 1800 seconds = 30 minutes
Note: This setting only applies if "Enable lockscreen" is checked.
Best Practices
- Branding: Use consistent branding across logo and favicon
- Logo Quality: Use high-quality, optimized images
- Favicon: Keep favicon simple and recognizable
- Security: Enable lockscreen for shared computers
- Performance: Optimize image file sizes for faster loading
