Product Categories

Organize your products by category to make browsing easier for your customers.

Overview

The Product Categories section allows you to create and manage product categories and subcategories to organize your services and products for better customer experience.

Categories

Creating Categories

Click the "New Category" button to create a new product category.


Category Information

Category Name

Required: Yes

Description: The name of the category.

Examples:

  • "Hair Services"
  • "Beauty Treatments"
  • "Massage"
  • "Facial Care"

Best Practices:

  • Use clear, descriptive names
  • Keep names concise
  • Use consistent naming conventions

Category Color

Required: Yes

Description: Assign a color to the category for visual organization.

Available Colors:

  • Red - For urgent or popular categories
  • Blue - For standard categories
  • Green - For eco-friendly or special categories
  • Orange - For promotional categories
  • Purple - For premium categories

Display: Category colors appear as colored badges/pills in the product interface.


Managing Categories

  • Create - Add new categories
  • Edit - Modify category name and color
  • Delete - Remove categories (ensure no products are assigned first)

Subcategories

Creating Subcategories

Subcategories allow you to further organize products within categories.

Example:

  • Category: "Hair Services"
    • Subcategory: "Haircuts"
    • Subcategory: "Coloring"
    • Subcategory: "Styling"

Subcategory Information

  • Name - Subcategory name
  • Parent Category - The category this subcategory belongs to
