User Management

Define roles and permissions for your team members to grant appropriate access levels.

Overview

The User Management section allows you to create and manage user accounts, configure permissions, and control what each team member can access within the application.

User Accounts

Creating Users

Click the "Create User" button to add a new team member to your AppSalon account.


User Information

Required Fields

  • Name - User's full name
  • Email - Login email address (must be unique)
  • Password - Secure password (minimum 8 characters)
  • Confirm Password - Password confirmation

User Rights and Permissions

Dashboard Widgets

Description: Control which dashboard widgets each user can see.

Options:

  • Enable/disable specific widgets per user
  • Customize dashboard view for each team member

Available Widgets:

  • Calendar overview
  • Recent appointments
  • Revenue statistics
  • Customer statistics
  • And more...

Description: Control which menu items and sections each user can access.

Options:

  • Enable/disable access to specific menu items
  • Restrict access to sensitive areas
  • Customize navigation per user

Menu Items Include:

  • Calendar
  • Customers
  • Products
  • Employees
  • Finance
  • Settings
  • And more...

Location Access

Description: Control which locations each user can access and manage.

Options:

  • Grant access to specific locations
  • Restrict location management
  • Multi-location support

Use Case: If you have multiple locations, you can restrict users to only see/manage their assigned location.


User Management

Editing Users

  1. Click on a user in the accordion list
  2. Update user information
  3. Modify permissions and access rights
  4. Click "Save" to apply changes

Password Management

Changing Passwords:

  • Enter new password in the password field
  • Confirm the new password
  • Leave blank to keep existing password

Security:

  • Passwords are encrypted and secure
  • Minimum 8 characters required
  • Use strong, unique passwords

Best Practices

  • Role-Based Access: Assign permissions based on job roles
  • Least Privilege: Only grant necessary access
  • Regular Review: Periodically review user access
  • Password Security: Encourage strong passwords
  • User Training: Ensure users understand their access levels

Security Considerations

  • ✅ Each user should have their own account
  • ✅ Never share user credentials
  • ✅ Regularly review and update permissions
  • ✅ Remove access for former employees immediately
  • ✅ Use strong, unique passwords
